About

Joline Beauregard RD CDE

Hello Beautiful Humans!

My name is Joline. I am a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, and Sunrise Dietetics, owner.

Here's a little about me.

The incredible Dietitians and professors kick-started my passion for food and nutrition at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). I knew early on that I was on the right career path because the more I learned, the more I wanted to know.

Undergrad gave me the time to explore this new world of food service management, food science, clinical nutrition, health promotion, nutrition research, food security, nutrition and psychology, and so much more.

I specialized in rural, remote, and First Nations health during my internship. I spent time in Northwestern Ontario, Sault Ste Marie and Manitoulin Island and focused on learning about the factors that influence health and how to support people in making positive changes in real life.

Since my internship, life has not slowed down. After working in Ohsweken, ON, with the health promotion team for Six Nations Health Services, I moved to Whitehorse Yukon in 2018.

A contract with Whitehorse General Hospital turned into a permanent position within Yukon Government’s Continuing Care Department. Here I was able to lead innovation in clinical nutrition and food service procedures, but missed the work I had done in communities.

After two years of running Sunrise Dietetics on the back burner, I turned it into my full-time career in May 2022!

Outside of Sunrise Dietetics, you will find me camping & skiing in our beautiful Yukon wilderness, reading historical fiction and fantasy, or volunteering with Paradise Music Festival, Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition, or Whitehorse Foodbank.

And, of course, my passion for food is personal too. I enjoy the garden sunshine, baking all sorts of tasty treats, and experimenting in the kitchen.

The passion for soaking up all things nutrition has never gone away. It is now paired with a love of working with people and their families to find joy in food and cooking, support health, promote independence, share culture, and add to their lives through food.

I love what I do and can't wait to see what opportunities and people I get to work with next.

Cheers,

Joline
